About

Jim started taking pictures in 1969 with his mother’s camera, posing friends on the front porch. In high school he and friends would travel all over the San Francisco bay area shooting and developing the prints in their darkroom. It was a great learning experience.

Years later, when his son was born, he bought a quality camera and that rekindled his relationship with the camera.

After a few trips to Europe he was hooked, again. This time travel photography became a passion. But you can’t travel all the time and Jim is now exploring his local area, including his backyard, attempting to take unique and thoughtful photographs that demand reflection and ensue peace.

Jim is now exploring other areas of photography including artificial lighting, portraits and staging shots.
