Green Zen

    Photography is something that has moved me for years. I’ve been a seeker my entire life and the camera focuses my attention. Unselfconscious, poking, looking for the shot. When I’m in the zone it’s Zen to me. To see at the object for all it. This was a moment like that. This is a small crop of the photo. This was taken at the Japanese Garden in Portland, OR. I remember looking up from a shot I thought was important, saw this, took it and thought, that’s gonna be exceptional or a brilliant dud. It has become one on my favorites.
